[STRIKE UPDATE]: FG/ASUU Seem To Have Reached A Compromise.


Yesterday, we heard and confirmed that there was a meeting between the Academic Staff Union Of Universities and the Federal Government. The meeting was held at the presidential villa Abuja witj the President of the nation also on sit.

The meeting was said to have commenced at around 2:30pm yesterday afternoon all through to about 7:30pm(after 5hrs). At 7:30pm a 15mins break was embarked upon. The meeting however continued after the 15mins and didn’t end until 3am this morning according to sources.

However,after the meeting which seems to be good the FG said ‘the outcome of the News would be sent to other members of the ASUU for agreement. But before the meeting was dismissed it seems the ASUU reps at the meeting however like the new deal which the FG is ready to give them.

Nevertheless,the News reaching us is that the strike is still on. But after the ASUU and everyone under it agree to the FG’s deal then it will be called off.
