Nigerian-American rapper Wale is the first rapper in history to open the State of the Union Address



Today, at the historical State of the Union Address held at the White House, rapper Wale (full name Olubowale Victor Akintimehin) took the stage to open the event with a rendition so perfect it is fit for history books. Plus, this is the first time in the history of the United States of America that a rapper, a black artiste, will take the opening performance of the country’s most-anticipated event.
