One Galway Girl is in trouble! Ed Sheeran is known for his numerous and colorful tattoos, but one of his new inkings is missing a key factor — the proper spelling!
As the chart-topping singer kicked off the Europe leg of his world tour, he shared a funny story about some of his body art with the audience on Sunday.

Oscar-nominated actress Saoirse Ronan starred in his upcoming music video for the hit song “Galway Girl,” and Sheeran wanted the talented Irish star to leave a permanent reminder of the experience on him.
“When we were filming it, I meant to get a tattoo of her handwriting saying ‘Galway Girl.’ It actually says ‘Galway Grill.’ Full-on, she really took the piss out of me. It actually says ‘grill,’ g-r-i-l-l,” he dished to the cheering crowd.
So is the red-headed pop star upset by the actress’ purposeful mistake?
“I’m actually kind of proud of her,” Sheeran insisted. “It’s the kind of thing that I would do.”
It’s been a banner year for Sheeran whose album ÷ (Divide) has broken several records around the globe with breakout hits “Shape of You” and “Castle on the Hill.”
Sheeran opened up about his new sound in March, saying, “All my other albums have been about heartbreak, and I’m just not in that place. I had to find new things to write about, so I guess I dwelled on my family a bit.”
